Here are some basic painting tools that you’ll need for your next painting project:
Paintbrushes: Different types of paintbrushes are used for different surfaces and for different types of paint, a natural-bristle brush is best for oil-based paints, while a synthetic brush is best for latex paints.
Rollers are used for covering large areas quickly and evenly, so you’d want to choose a roller based on the surface you're painting and the type of paint you’ll be using.
Paint trays are a shallow container used to hold the paint for the roller they come in different sizes and shapes to fit different roller sizes.
Drop cloths are protective cover for floors, furniture, and other surfaces, use a drop cloth to prevent accidental spills and drips from damaging the surrounding area.
Painter's tape is a type of masking tape used to protect edges and create clean lines, tape is easy to remove without damaging the surface.
Sandpaper is used to smooth rough surfaces and remove old paint before painting, you’ll need to choose the appropriate grit to prep surfaces like wood, metal, drywall prior to and during painting, ensuring a velvet-smooth surface.
putty knife is used to fill gaps and cracks in surfaces prior to painting, It is also used to scrape off old paint and remove debris.
Stir sticks are used to stir the paint before use these sticks come in different sizes and materials.
Paint thinner is used to thin out oil-based paints and clean up after painting.
